Flysheet First Pitching
1. Assemble the four poles and lay them on the ground.
2. Open ysheet on ground and position tent in desired direction.
3. The poles are colour coded for easier identication. Insert the longer, straight poles through the black
pole sleeves running diagonally across the length of ysheet, making sure that the pole feeds back into
the sleeve at junction points.
4. Insert two remaining poles through pole sleeves running across the width of the ysheet.
5. Locate the ends of the long diagonal poles into the eyelets on one end of ysheet.
6. Push these poles from the opposite side, forming an arch and locate the pole ends into corresponding
eyelets on pole anchor strap.
7. Repeat this process for the two remaining poles.
8. Tighten the ysheet by adjusting the tension straps to suit. Attach the ysheet clips to the poles.
9. The tent will now be free standing, reposition if required.
10. Peg out adjustable anchor straps at one end of the tent, using alloy pin pegs.
11. Pull the tent forwards and peg the anchor straps on the opposite end.
12. Peg through webbing loops located at each pole anchor strap using the pegs.
13. Peg out ALL guy lines using alloy Y pegs ensuring that attachment points are evenly tensioned
The inner tent and ysheet can remain attached when pitching or packing. However, in humid or very wet
weather, the underside of the ysheet may be coated with condensation. If this occurs, it may be advisable
to detach the inner and pack it separately to avoid the inner tent becoming wet.
Inner Tent (if previously removed)
1. Open out inner tent inside ysheet and position doorway to align with ysheet doors.
2. Starting from the middle, attach the elasticated hooks on the groundsheet to corresponding rings on
the ysheet anchor straps.
3. Suspend the inner by linking the elastic loops to the clips on inside of ysheet.
