1 button, opens the control panel.
2 Rocker switch. The way the rocker switch functions de-
pends on the individual menus and operating modes.
3 AUD button, opens the audio menu.
4 TA button, activates traffic information standby.
5 Dot matrix display.
6 If pressed briefly during navigation:
the active destination is displayed and the last voice out-
put is repeated,
entries that are marked with “...” in a list will be displayed
in their entirety.
7 Activates the traffic jam function.
8 T button, opens the TRAFFIC menu: TIM function (Traffic
Information Memory) and TMC traffic information messag-
es.
9 ESC button, closes menus and deletes characters in the
speller menu.
: MEN button, opens the setup menu.
; Knob/pushbutton to select, enter and confirm items in lists
and selection menus.
< NAV button, activates the navigation system.
= Softkeys 4 to 6. The way the softkeys function depends
on the menu contents.

? CD-C button, activates CD or CD-changer mode.
