loadingthefreezerforcesthecompressortorunlonger.Foodsthatfreeze
tooslowlymaylosequalityorspoil.
• Besuretowrapfoodsproperlyandwipecontainersdrybeforeplacingthem
inthefreezer.Thiscutsdownonfrostbuild-upinsidethefreezer.
• Freezer shelves andbasketsshouldnot be lined with aluminum foil, wax
paper,orpapertoweling.Linersinterferewithcoldaircirculation,makingthe
freezerlessefcient.
• Organizeandlabelfoodtoreducedooropeningsandextendedsearches.
Removeasmanyitemsasneededatonetime,andclosedoorassoonas
possible.

afterthefreezerisunpacked.Childrenshouldneverusetheseitemsforplay.
Cartonscoveredwithrugs,bedspreads,plasticsheetsorstretchwrapmay
becomeairtightchambersandcanquicklycausesuffocation.

A child might suffocate if he crawls into a freezer to hide or play. Re-
move the door of a freezer when not in use, even if you plan to discard
the freezer. Manycommunitieshavelawsrequiringyoutotakethissafety
precaution.

byGroundFaultCircuitInterrupters(GFCI)areNOTRECOMMENDED.DO
NOT use an extension cord or adapter plug.
•Ifvoltagevariesby10percentormore,freezerperformancemaybeaffected.
Operatingthefreezer withinsufcientpower candamagethe motor.Such
damageisnotcoveredunderthewarranty.Ifyoususpectyourhousehold
voltageishighorlow,consultyourpowercompanyfortesting.
•Topreventthefreezerfrombeingturnedoffaccidentally,donotplugunitinto
