SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS
โข CAUTION: before using this product read carefully the following safety instruc๎ons. Take a look of this manual en๎rely and preserve it for
future reference.
When using any electric product, basic precau๎ons should always be taken, including the following:
โ To reduce the risk, close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children.
โ Protect the apparatus from atmospheric agents and keep it away from water, rain and high humidity places.
โ This product should be site away from heat sources such as radiators, lamps and any other device that generate heat.
โ This product should be located so that its loca๎on or posi๎on does not interfere with its proper ven๎la๎on and hea๎ng dissipa๎on.
โ Care should be taken so that objects and liquids do not go inside the product.
โ The product should be connected to a power supply mains line only of the type described on the opera๎ng instruc๎ons or as marked on the
product. Connect the apparatus to a power supply using only power cord included making always sure it is in good condi๎ons.

WARNING: The mains plug is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
โ Do not cancel the safety feature assured by means of a polarized line plug (one blade wider than the other) or with a earth connec๎on.
โ Make sure that power supply mains line has a proper earth connec๎on.
โ Power supply cord should be unplugged from the outlet during strong thunderstorm or when le๎ unused for a long period of ๎me.
โ Do not place objects on the productโs power cord or place it in a posi๎on where anyone could trip over, walk on or roll anything over it. Do not
allow the product to rest on or to be installed over power cords of any type. Improper installa๎ons of this type create the possibility of ๎ฎre hazard
and/or personal injury.
โ This product may be capable of producing sound levels that could cause
permanent hearing loss. Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause
permanent hearing loss. Individuals vary considerably in suscep๎bility to noise-
induced hearing loss, but nearly everyone will lose some hearing if exposed
to sufficiently intense noise for a period of time. The U.S. Governmentโs
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has specified the
permissible noise level exposures shown in the following chart. According to

capable of producing high sound pressure levels use hearing protectors while
the equipment is in opera๎on. Ear plugs or protectors in the ear canals or over
the ears must be worn when opera๎ng the equipment in order to prevent
permanent hearing loss if exposure is in excess of the limits set forth here. Keep
your's a๎ฉen๎on that children and pets are more suscep๎ble to excessive noise
levels.
IN CASE OF FAULT
โข In case of fault or maintenance this product should be inspected only by quali๎ฎed service personnel when:
โ There is a ๎aw either in the connec๎ons or in the supplied connec๎ng cables.
โ Liquids have spilled inside the product.
โ The product has fallen and been damaged.
โ The product does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
โ The product has been lost liquids or gases or the enclosure is damaged.
โข Do not operate on the product, it has no user-serviceable parts inside, refer servicing to an authorized maintenance centre.
CE CONFORMITY
โข Proel products comply with direc๎ve 2004/108/EC (EMC), as stated in EN 55103-1 and EN 55103-2 standards and with direc๎ve 2006/95/CE
(LVD), as stated in EN 60065 standard.
โข Under the EM disturbance, the ra๎o of signal-noise will be changed above 10dB.
PACKAGING, SHIPPING AND COMPLAINT
โข This unit package has been submi๎ฉed to ISTA 1A integrity tests. We suggest you control the unit condi๎ons immediately a๎er unpacking it.
โข If any damage is found, immediately advise the dealer. Keep all unit packaging parts to allow inspec๎on.
โข Proel is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipment.

โข Possible damages to unit should be immediately no๎๎ฎed to forwarder. Each complaint for package tampered with should be done within eight
days from product receipt.
WARRANTY AND PRODUCTS RETURN
โข Proel products have opera๎ng warranty and comply their speci๎ฎca๎ons, as stated by manufacturer.
โข Proel warrants all materials, workmanship and proper opera๎on of this product for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. If
any defects are found in the materials or workmanship or if the product fails to func๎on properly during the applicable warranty period, the owner
should inform about these defects the dealer or the distributor, providing receipt or invoice of date of purchase and defect detailed descrip๎on.
This warranty does not extend to damage resul๎ng from improper installa๎on, misuse, neglect or abuse. Proel S.p.A. will verify damage on returned
units, and when the unit has been properly used and warranty is s๎ll valid, then the unit will be replaced or repaired. Proel S.p.A. is not responsible
for any "direct damage" or "indirect damage" caused by product defec๎veness.
INSTALLATION AND DISCLAIMER
โข Proel products have been expressly designed for audio applica๎on, with signals in audio range (20Hz to 20kHz). Proel has no liability for damages
caused in case of lack of maintenance, modi๎ฎca๎ons, improper use or improper installa๎on non-applying safety instruc๎ons and at the state of
the art.
โข Proel S.p.A. reserves the right to change these speci๎ฎca๎ons at any ๎me without no๎ce.
POWER SUPPLY AND MAINTENANCE
โข Clean only with dry cloth.
โข Check periodically that the slots for its proper ven๎la๎on and hea๎ng dissipa๎on are not obstructed by dust, remove the dust using a dry brush
or a compressed air gun.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Thank you for having chosen a PROEL product.
The HPAMP106 is a 6-channel Headphone Ampli๎ฎer boxed in a 19โ rack mountable metal chassis, including up to 6
independent high-power ampli๎ฎer sec๎ons suitable for virtually any type of headphones,
HPAMP106 features 4 selectable main stereo/mono inputs with ยผโ JACK connectors (REAR panel). The signal is
ampli๎ฎed and sent to 6 stereo headphone outputs with individual level controls, input selector and ยผโ JACK connectors
(FRONT panel), each one with +13dB max output level (per channel). Each output is capable of driving 16 ohm output
load impedance. HPAMP106 is powered by a Built-in power supply with shielded transformer and voltage selector.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (FIG. 1 / 2)
1. HEADPHONES stereo jack outputs
These are the 6 STEREO JACK connectors for the headphones output: only stereo headphones with a minimum
impedance of 16 Ohms should be connected to these outputs. The stereo jack connectors are wired as follow:
Tip = posi๎ve LEFT channel signal
Ring = posi๎ve RIGHT channel signal
Sleeve = common nega๎ve shield or ground for both channels
2. VOL headphones volume controls
These controls set individually the level of each HEADPHONES output. The signal of the 6 outputs is selected between
the four inputs.
3. INPUT SEL input channel selectors
Using these selectors you can choose which one of the 4 available inputs is sent to the respec๎ve headphones output.
In the OFF posi๎on no input is selected.
4. PWR indicator
BLUE LED: when lighted indicates that the HPAMP106 has been turned on and AC power is available.
5. INPUT - LEFT (MONO) jack
These are the 4 JACK connectors for the four stereo channel inputs. Each LEFT (MONO) is a female jack connector, which
accepts a JACK plug from almost any line level equipment with a balanced or unbalanced outputs. If the correspondent
RIGHT jack is not inserted, the channel operate like a MONO channel with the LEFT (MONO) input as a single signal
source. The JACK input is wired as follows:
Tip = + posi๎ve or "hot"
Ring = - nega๎ve or "cold"
Sleeve = shield or ground
When connec๎ng an unbalanced signal, wire them as follows:
Pin2 / Tip = + posi๎ve or "hot"
Pin 1-3 / Sleeve = shield or ground
NOTE: whenever possible, use always balanced cables. Unbalanced lines may also be used but may result in noise over
long cable runs. In any case, avoid using a balanced cable for one channel and an unbalanced one for the other.
6. INPUT - RIGHT jack
This is a JACK connector, which accepts a balanced or unbalanced line level input signal from almost any source. This is
used only in presence of LEFT jack input to use the channel as STEREO. Wiring is the same of previous point.
7. LINE VOLTAGE selector
This switch sets the AC voltage line of your country (usually it is set by factory and isn't necessary to change it). The 115V
se๎ซng is for mains line in the range of 100-120V~ and 230V se๎ซng is for mains line in the range of 210-240V~.
WARNING: an incorrect se๎ซng of AC LINE VOLTAGE could damage seriously the internal electronics!
8. POWER switch
HPAMP106 is "ON" when the switch is in the "I" posi๎on.
9. FUSE holder
Here is where the mains protec๎on fuse is placed.
REPLACE THE PROTECTION FUSE ONLY WITH SAME TYPE AS SHOWN ON THE PRODUCT.
IF AFTER THE SUBSTITUTION, THE FUSE INTERRUPTS AGAIN THE APPARATUS WORKING, DO NOT TRY AGAIN

INFORMAZIONI GENERALI

HPAMP106 รจ un ampli๎ฎcatore per cu๎ธe a 6 canali alloggiato in un box metallico in formato rack 19โ, che perme๎ฉe
l'ascolto con 6 poten๎ ampli๎ฎcatori separa๎ ada๎ซ a qualunque ๎po di cu๎ธa.
HPAMP106 dispone di 4 ingressi stereo / mono selezionabili con conne๎ฉori JACK 6.3mm (pannello posteriore). Il
segnale รจ ampli๎ฎcato ed inviato a 6 uscite cu๎ธa con JACK da 6.3mm, ognuna delle quali dispone di un proprio controllo
di livello con un guadagno massimo di +13 dB. Ogni uscita รจ in grado di pilotare carichi da 16 ohm. HPAMP106 รจ fornito
alimentatore interno con trasformatore schermato e sele๎ฉore di tensione di rete.
ISTRUZIONI PER IL FUNZIONAMENTO (FIG. 1 / 2)
1. HEADPHONES uscita jack stereo per cu๎ธa
Ques๎ sono 6 conne๎ฉori STEREO JACK per le uscita cu๎ธa: solo cu๎ธe stereo con un impedenza minima di 16 Ohm
possono essere connesse a questa uscita. Le uscite stereo sono terminate come segue:
Tip (punta) = posi๎vo segnale canale SINISTRO
Ring (anello) = posi๎vo segnale canale DESTRO
Sleeve (manico๎ฉo) = schermo o massa comune per entrambe i canali
2. VOL livello uscita cu๎ธa
Ques๎ controlli di livello regolano individulmente il livello di uscita di ogni uscita cu๎ธa. Il segnale delle 6 uscite รจ
selezionabile tra i qua๎ฉro ingressi.
3. INPUT SEL sele๎ฉore canale di ingresso
Usando ques๎ sele๎ฉori si puรฒ scegliere quale dei 4 ingressi disponibili รจ inviato alla rispe๎ซva uscita cu๎ธa. Nella
posizione OFF nessun ingresso รจ selezionato.
4. PWR indicatore di accensione
LED BLU: quando acceso indica che HPAMP106 รจ stato acceso e l'alimentazione AC รจ disponibile.
5. INPUT - LEFT / MONO ingresso jack sinistro
Ques๎ sono 4 conne๎ฉori JACK per i qua๎ฉro canali di ingresso stereo. Ogni LEFT (MONO) รจ un conne๎ฉore jack femmina,
che preleva il segnale a livello linea da pra๎camente qualsiasi apparecchio bilanciato o sbilanciato. Se il jack LINE RIGHT
non รจ inserito, questo canale opera come un canale MONO con questo ingresso come sorgente unica. Le terminazioni
dell' ingresso JACK sono:
Tip (punta) = + posi๎vo o "caldo"
Ring (anello) = - nega๎vo o "freddo"
Sleeve (manico๎ฉo) = schermo o massa
E quando si collega un segnale sbilanciato, sono le seguen๎:
Pin2 / Tip (punta) = + posi๎vo o "caldo"
Pin 1-3 / Sleeve (manico๎ฉo) = schermo o massa
NOTA: Se possibile, usare sempre cavi bilancia๎. Cavi sbilancia๎ possono essere usa๎ ma potrebbero dare problemi di
rumore se molto lunghi. In ogni caso, evitate di usare un cavo bilanciato per un canale e uno sbilanciato per lโaltro.
6. INPUT - RIGHT ingresso jack destro
ร un conne๎ฉore ๎po jack in grado di acce๎ฉare un segnale a livello linea bilanciato o sbilanciato da ogni ๎po di sorgente.
ร usato solo in presenza del jack LINE LEFT per usare il canale in modalitร STEREO.
7. LINE VOLTAGE sele๎ฉore tensione di rete
Questo sele๎ฉore imposta la tensione di rete della linea ele๎ฉrica del vostro paese (๎picamente รจ giร impostato di fabbrica
e non รจ necessario cambiarlo). L'impostazione 115V รจ per le linee ele๎ฉriche da 105-120V~ e l'impostazione 230V รจ per
le linee ele๎ฉriche da 210-240V~.
ATTENZIONE una sbagliata impostazione della linea ele๎ฉrica AC LINE VOLTAGE puรฒ danneggiare seriamente
l'ampli๎ฎcatore interno.
8. POWER interru๎ฉore di accensione
HPAMP106 รจ acceso "ON" quando รจ nella posizione "I". Usarlo per accendere o spegnere l'apparecchio.
9. FUSE portafusibili
In questo vano รจ inserito il fusibile di protezione principale di rete.
RIMPIAZZARE IL FUSIBILE DI PROTEZIONE ESCLUSIVAMENTE CON UN FUSIBILE CON LE MEDESIME
CARATTERISTICHE RIPORTATE SUL PRODOTTO.
SE DOPO LA SOSTITUZIONE, IL FUSIBILE INTERROMPE NUOVAMENTE IL FUNZIONAMENTO DELL'APPARATO, NON

10. AC~ (presa di alimentazione di rete)
Inserire in questa presa il cavo di alimentazione di rete u๎lizzando esclusivamente il cavo in dotazione. Accertarsi che
l'apparecchio sia spento prima di collegarlo alla rete.
