Congratulations on the purchase of the Scorpion series
flashlight, a compact and convenient little flashlight that is a
powerhouse of performance. Proper care and use of this
product will provide years of dependable service.
BATTERY INSTALLATION/REMOVAL
• Unscrew the rubber armored grip flashlight barrel and
remove depleted batteries.
• Insert batteries into barrel negative end first with positive
ends pointing toward the flashlight head.
• Screw barrel onto flashlight head and tighten
WARNING: FIRE, EXPLOSION, BURN HAZARD - USE
ONLY RECOMMENDED LITHIUM BATTERIES
Inferior quality lithium batteries can cause fire, explosion, burns.
We recommend the use of ONLY Streamlight or Panasonic,
Sanyo, Energizer or Duracell batteries in our products. Use of
other batteries or mixing brands and old and new batteries may
risk leakage, fire, explosion and serious personal injury. To
further avoid this risk for any brand lithium battery, do not
recharge, misuse, short circuit, disassemble, improperly store
or discard, expose to high temperatures.
GENERAL OPERATION
The Scorpion series flashlights feature a tail cap switch that
allows convenient use without awkward two-handed twisting or
turning.

Scorpion, Scorpion LED
• Press the tail switch for momentary activation or push and
click the switch to lock on.
The Scorpion (xenon) has an adjustable focus. Rotate the head
to adjust the focus from a long range, pinpoint beam to a wider,
softer flood effect for close-up use. The Scorpion LED and
Scorpion X models use LEDs "fixed" at optimum focus and are
not adjustable.
Scorpion X (Multi-function LED)
• High: From off, press and hold for momentary activation;
click the switch to lock on.
• Strobe: From off, fast double press and hold for momentary
activation; click the switch to lock on.
• Low: From off, fast triple press and hold for momentary
activation; click the switch to lock on.
Scorpion HL (Programmable Multi-function LED)
The Scorpion HL features a programmable switch with momentary
operation (light press or tap) and constant on operation (press
until click). The light is shipped from the factory in the default
High-Strobe-Low program.
• High: Tap and hold; click to lock on; click again for off.
• Strobe: Fast double-tap (within 0.4 seconds) and hold; click
to lock on; click again for off.
• Low: Fast triple-tap (within 0.4 seconds per tap) and hold;
click to lock on; click again for off.
CAUTION:
The Scorpion HL provides a powerful beam. When operated for
a long time, it will get uncomfortably warm. This is NORMAL
and is not a defect. Any LED flashlight of similar size and
performance will produce similar amounts of heat during
operation. The only way to reduce operating heat is to
SIGNIFICANTLY lower the output, or increase the size of the
flashlight. While this heating may trigger the drop reflex if an
unattended hot light is picked up, the temperature does not
present a burn hazard. When used tactically for short periods
of time to clear a room, check for intruders, etc., heating will
not be a problem.
WARNING: Use of light in "strobe" mode may cause seizure
in persons with photosensitive epilepsy.
ACCESSING OTHER PROGRAMS
The Scorpion HL features a TEN-TAP™ programmable switch
allowing the user to select one of three different programs. To
change to the next program, starting from the "Off" position, tap
the switch rapidly 9 times (within 0.4 seconds per tap) and hold
it down the 10th time. Continue holding the switch until the
light turns off (approximately 1 second), then release the switch.
Available programs are High-Strobe-Low (Factory Default),
High Only or Low-High.
BULB REPLACEMENT
LED models do not require bulb replacement.
The xenon bi-pin bulb is designed to last through three (3) to
five (5) sets of batteries in continuous use. Intermittent use
may produce less bulb life (due to repeated start up shock and
higher voltage spikes). Do not attempt to change the LED in the
Scorpion LED and Scorpion X.
The Scorpion (xenon) contains a spare bulb that is located
inside the bulb holder assembly. Unscrew the flashlight head
from the barrel and remove the bulb holder assembly. Always
wear safety glasses and gloves. Never touch a hot bulb; allow
it to cool before handling. Pry off the cup-shaped silver colored
contact on the bottom of the bulb holder assembly; remove the
spare bulb and replace the contact. Firmly grasp the burned out
bulb and pull it from the holder assembly. Grasp the replacemen
t
bulb and direct the pins straight into the holes in the holder
assembly until the bulb is firmly seated.
WARNING: The Scorpion (xenon) utilizes a high wattage xenon
bulb that can get very hot. Never place the Scorpion face-down
against a flat surface or against any flammable object. Transport
or store the Scorpion in a way that minimizes the chance it can
accidentally be turned on.
MAINTENANCE
Keep O-ring area on barrel lubricated. The rubber armored grip
on the flashlight barrel needs little maintenance.

Scorpion, una linterna pequeña compacta y cómoda con un

INSTALACIÓN Y EXTRACCIÓN DE LA PILA
• Desenrosque el cilindro de la linterna del manguito blindado
con caucho y extraiga las baterías gastadas..
• Inserte las pilas primero en el extremo negativo del cilindro
con los extremos positivos orientados hacia la cabeza de la
linterna.
• Enrosque el cilindro en la cabeza de la linterna y apriete.
ADVERTENCIA: RIESGO DE INCENDIO, EXPLOSIÓN Y
QUEMADURAS, UTILICE ÚNICAMENTE LAS PILAS DE
LITIO RECOMENDADAS
Las pilas de litio de calidad inferior pueden provocar un incendio,
explosión y quemaduras. Recomendamos usar en nuestros
productos ÚNICAMENTE pilas Streamlight o Panasonic, Sanyo,
Energizer o Duracell. El uso de otras pilas o la combinación de

FUNCIONAMIENTO GENERAL
Las linternas de la serie Scorpion cuentan con un botón en la
base que permite un uso sencillo sin tener que realizar
movimientos de giro extraños con las dos manos.

Scorpion, Scorpion LED
• Pulse el botón de la base para una activación momentánea o
encájelo para bloquearlo.
La linterna Scorpion (xenón) tiene un foco ajustable. Gire la
cabeza para ajustar el foco para largo alcance, señale el haz para
obtener un efecto de luz ambiente más suave y ancha para usar
en distancias más cortas. Los modelos Scorpion LED y
Scorpion XL utilizan LED "fijos" con un enfoque óptico y no
pueden ajustarse.
Scorpion X (LED multifunción)
• Alto: Desde la posición de apagado, pulse y mantenga
pulsado el botón para una activación momentánea; encaje el

Scorpion HL (LED multifunción programable)
La Scorpion HL cuenta con un interruptor programable con
funcionamiento momentáneo (pulsación o toque ligero) y
funcionamiento activo constante (pulse hasta oír un chasquido). La
linterna se envía de fábrica en el programa Alto-Estroboscópico-Bajo
predeterminado.
• Alto: Pulse y mantenga pulsado el interruptor; haga clic para
mantenerla encendida; vuelva a hacer clic para apagarla.
• Estroboscopio: Pulse dos veces rápidamente (no deben
transcurrir más de 4 milésimas de segundo entre cada una)
y mantenga apretado el interruptor; haga clic para mantenerla
encendida; vuelva a hacer clic para apagarla.
• Bajo: Pulse tres veces rápidamente (no deben transcurrir más
de 4 milésimas de segundo entre cada pulsación) y mantenga
pulsado el interruptor; haga clic para mantenerla encendida; v
uelva a hacer clic para apagarla.
PRECAUCIÓN:
La Scorpion HL proporciona un potente haz. Cuando funciona
durante un periodo prolongado, alcanzará una temperatura
caliente que resulta incómoda. Esto es NORMAL y no se trata
de un defecto. Cualquier linterna LED de tamaño y rendimiento
similares producirá cantidades similares de calor durante el
funcionamiento. La única manera de reducir el calor de
funcionamiento consiste en reducir SIGNIFICATIVAMENTE la
potencia o aumentar el tamaño de la linterna. Si bien este calor
podría provocar el reflejo de dejarla caer, si se recoge una
linterna caliente desatendida, la temperatura no presenta riesgo
de quemaduras. Cuando se utiliza tácticamente durante breves
periodos de tiempo para despejar una habitación, comprobar la
presencia de intrusos, etc., el calor no supondrá ningún problema.
ADVERTENCIA: El uso de la linterna en modo
“estroboscópico” puede provocar ataques epilépticos a
personas con epilepsia fotosensible.
ACCESO A OTROS PROGRAMAS
La Scorpion HL HL dispone de un interruptor programable de
diez pulsaciones TEN-TAP™ que permite al usuario seleccionar
uno de entre tres programas diferentes. Para cambiar al siguiente
programa, comenzando desde la posición de apagado, pulse el
interruptor con rapidez 9 veces (no deben transcurrir más de 4
milésimas de segundo entre cada pulsación) y mantenga pulsado
el interruptor la décima vez. Mantenga el interruptor pulsado
hasta que se apague la luz (aproximadamente 1 segundo); a
continuación, suelte el interruptor.
Estos son los programas disponibles Alto-Estroboscópico-Bajo
(predeterminado de fábrica), Alto solamente o Alto-Bajo.
SUSTITUCIÓN DE LA BOMBILLA

La Scorpion (xenón) incluye una bombilla de repuesto situada

linterna del cilindro y extraiga la unidad de casquillo. Utilice
siempre gafas de seguridad y guantes. No toque nunca una
bombilla caliente; antes de manipularla, deje que se enfríe.
Extraiga mediante palanca el contacto de color plata en forma
de cono en la parte inferior de la unidad de casquillo; extraiga
la bombilla de repuesto y sustituya el contacto. Agarre
firmemente la bombilla fundida y extráigala del casquillo. Agarre
la bombilla de recambio e inserte las patillas directamente en
los orificios en la unidad del casquillo hasta que la bombilla esté
firmemente encajada.
ADVERTENCIA: La linterna Scorpion (xenón) utiliza una
bombilla de xenón de alto vatiaje que puede calentarse mucho.
No ponga
nunca la linterna Scorpion boca abajo contra una superficie
plana o contra cualquier objeto inflamable
.
Transporte o almacene
la linterna Scorpion de manera que se reduzcan las
probabilidades de que se encienda accidentalmente.
MANTENIMIENTO
Mantenga la zona de la junta tórica del cilindro lubricada. El
manguito blindado con caucho del cilindro de la linterna
necesita poco mantenimiento.
