This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, ξξξξξξξ

Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided
to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over
a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and
may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or
extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the
appliance,
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord, and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over.

This unit is for household use only.

Remove all packing material and any stickers from the product.
Before first use, wash the interior of the kettle and the scale filter with hot
soapy water and rinse well until water is clear.
Select a level surface where this unit is to be used, allowing enough space for
steam to escape without damage to counters, cabinets and walls.
Uncoil power cord from power cord holder at bottom of the power base
Fill kettle with 2Β½ cups cold tap water and 1ΒΌ cup vinegar and place on
power base. Close cover.
Plug cord into standard electrical outlet.
Bring to a full boil and discard.
Fill kettle with at least 6 cups of cold tap water. Bring to full boil and discard;
repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.
ξξξξξξξThe kettle will only operate when the I/O (On/Off) button is in the I (On)
position. The kettle will automatically switch to O (Off) once the water has
boiled, or when there is no water in the kettle.

Press latch and lift lid ξ«ξξ¬. Fill with desired amount of cold
tap water (from 2Β½ to 7Β½ cups). Be sure water does not
come above the bottom of the pour spout to prevent boiling
water from spilling onto the counter.

β’ operate the kettle without water.
β’ overfill the kettle - keep water level below the pour
spout.
β’ open the cover while water is heating.
ξξξξξξξξξξξξξ
1. Press latch to open kettle lid ξ«ξξ¬.
2. Be sure kettle has at least 2Β½ cups of cold tap water in it
before use.
3. Close lid on kettle securely. (Lid snaps into place.)
4. Place kettle on the power base so the element on the
bottom of the kettle rests securely on the power base ξ«ξξ¬.
5. Position kettle with spout facing away from walls,
cabinets and your body.
