Limited 2-Year Warranty (U.S. and Canada only)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for 24 months from the 
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective product to the service center 
listed, together with your purchase receipt.
California residents need only provide proof of purchase and should call 1-800-334-4031 for 
shipping instructions. In the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be 24 
months from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT 
LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR

•  Close supervision is necessary when this product is  
  used by, on, or near children or disabled persons.
•   Never use while drowsy or while bathing  
or while sleeping.
•  Keep the supply cord away from heated surfaces.
•  Never operate the unit if it has a damaged plug, if it is  
  not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged,  
  or if it has been immersed in water. Refer to an Authorized Service Center for repair.
•  If the cord is damaged, discard the unit – the cord cannot be replaced.   
•  DO NOT excessively bend or pull the cord. Unplug the cord by grasping the

•  Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual.  
  Only use attachments recommended by the manufacturer.
•  This product is designed for teeth cleaning only – not for any other purpose. 
•  To prevent damaged bristles from breaking off while the unit is in use, replace your  
  brush head if bristles are worn or bent.
•  Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose.
•   Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or 
where oxygen is being administered.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
•  DO NOT handle the plug with wet hands.
•  DO NOT place or store the charger base where it can fall or  
  be pulled into a tub, sink, or toilet.
•   DO NOT reach for a charger base that has fallen into water; 
unplug immediately. Do not reach into the water under any  
circumstances. Have the unit checked by an Authorized  
Service Center after it has been in water.
•   The unit is designed for use in a 120 VAC, 60 Hz outlet.  
Never force the plug into the outlet.
•  DO NOT submerge the charger base in water or any other liquids.

When using electrical products, especially when children are present,  
basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
•   Contact your dentist prior to use if you have had oral surgery in  
the previous twelve months.
•  When you start any new oral hygiene program, your gums may  
  initially bleed slightly. Contact your dentist if excessive bleeding  
  occurs or if the bleeding continues after two weeks of use.
•  Be sure that only the bristles touch your teeth and gums.  
  Damage to teeth and gums may occur if any part of the unit  
  touches them.
•  This product is designed for oral cleaning only.  
  DO NOT use the unit for any other purpose.
•  As with any other new oral hygiene program, individuals with  
  heart problems should check with their physician prior to  
  using the RTGX01, and should always exercise particular care 
  with any oral hygiene device. 
•  Avoid using a brush with crushed or bent bristles.  
  Damaged bristles may break off while the unit is in use.  
  In order to prevent this, replace your brush head every three  
  to four months, or sooner if the bristles become worn or bent.
•  The RTGX01 is a personal care unit and is intended for  
  household use only.

Initial Preparation
Before using, charge the power handle for 24 hours. To charge, press the OFF button 
on the power handle and place it in charger base. The indicator light will go on.
NOTE: Be sure the electrical outlet is functioning. You can test it with another appliance. 
Also, check the electrical outlet reset button and/or wall switch.
About twice a year, completely run down and then recharge your power handle to maxi-
mize the life of the rechargeable battery.
Instructions for Use: 5 Simple Steps
1.   Attach the brush head.
  After the unit has been fully charged, grasp the brush head by the neck and place the  
  power handle shaft inside the hollow end of the brush head; (A) press down and (B) 
  turn clockwise until the brush head snaps into place. To remove, grasp  
  the brush head by the neck (not the bristles), turn counterclockwise,  
  and pull away from the handle. NOTE: It is recommended that you 
  replace your brush head every three months, or sooner if the bristles 
  become worn or bent.
2.  Moisten the bristles.
  Hold the brush head under running water for a few seconds.
3.  Apply toothpaste sparingly and put brush head into mouth.
4.  Turn the unit on. Press the ON button.
5.   Position brush head properly.
 Place bristles perpendicular to flat tooth surface and guide the  
  unit slowly along the outside, then the inside, and finally the  
  biting surfaces of the teeth. You do not have to press hard.
Cleaning and Maintenance of Unit
1.  After each use 
  While toothbrush is on, hold the brush under running water  
 for a few seconds.
2.  Turn the unit off  
 Press the OFF button. 
3.   Towel-dry the power handle 
  Once dry, place the handle onto the plugged-in charger base to  
  maintain full power.
4.   Brush head maintenance 
   Once a week, or anytime the power handle appears to be slowing 
down, turn power on and pour a small amount of mouthwash or  
water on the head.
5.   This unit has no user-serviceable parts.
6.    To store: Unplug the appliance from the outlet, store in appliance box or a clean, dry 
place. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around unit. Do not hang the 
unit by the cord.

Battery Safety Information
 1.   This product contains 1 nickel metal hydride (NiMh) AAA, 450 mAH 1.2V battery.
 2.  Since batteries are sensitive to high temperatures, when storing them, keep in a cool 
dry place.
 3.  Use only the power cord supplied with the appliance. 
 4. Never put batteries into a fire.
 5. Switch off devices after use.
 6. Keep batteries away from children, especially the batteries that are small enough to ingest.
 7. If a battery is ingested, seek immediate medical help. 
 8. Never open, crush, puncture or disassemble batteries. 
 9. Dispose of batteries according to any State and Local regulations.
10. Do not dispose of rechargeable batteries as solid waste.
Battery Disposal
1.   As the batteries are rechargeable, you do not replace them. They are to be disposed of 
properly at the end of the toothbrush life. Please follow proper charging and disposal 
instructions provided.
2.   To remove the battery for disposal or recycling, insert a coin into one set of slots on the 
battery end cap and twist counterclockwise to release the battery cap.
3.  Firmly tap the bottom of the handle on a hard surface in order to slide out battery.
4.   Now the battery is exposed, so you can separate the wire connectors. Carefully hold the 
wires on each side of the connector and gently cut the wires. The connector will separate 
and the battery can be removed from the inner housing. Bring the battery to the nearest 
collection center for disposal or call the toll-free RBRC
®
 information line at 1-800-8-BATTERY.
