Special protec๎šฑve equipment and precau๎šฑons for ๎™Œre๎™Œghters
GENERAL INFORMATION
Use jets of water to cool the containers to prevent product decomposi๎šบon and the development of substances poten๎šบally hazardous for health. Always wear
full ๎™—re preven๎šบon gear. Collect ex๎šบnguishing water to prevent it from draining into the sewer system. Dispose of contaminated water used for ex๎šบnc๎šบon and
the remains of the ๎™—re according to applicable regula๎šบons.
SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE-FIGHTERS
Normal ๎™—re๎™—gh๎šบng clothing i.e., ๎™—re kit, gloves and boots in combina๎šบon with self-contained open circuit posi๎šบve pressure compressed air breathing
apparatus.
SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precau๎šฑons, protec๎šฑve equipment and emergency procedures
Block the leakage if there is no hazard.
Wear suitable protec๎šบve equipment (including personal protec๎šบve equipment referred to under Sec๎šบon 8 of the safety data sheet) to prevent any
contamina๎šบon of skin, eyes and personal clothing. These indica๎šบons apply for both processing sta๎™” and those involved in emergency procedures.
Environmental precau๎šฑons
The product must not penetrate into the sewer system or come into contact with surface water or ground water.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Collect the leaked product into a suitable container. Evaluate the compa๎šบbility of the container to be used, by checking sec๎šบon 10. Absorb the remainder
with inert absorbent material.
Make sure the leakage site is well aired. Contaminated material should be disposed of in compliance with the provisions set forth in point 13.
SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precau๎šฑons for safe handling
Before handling the product, consult all the other sec๎šบons of this material safety data sheet. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale the vapors.
Avoid leakage of the product into the environment. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during use. Remove any contaminated clothes and personal protec๎šบve
equipment before entering places in which people eat.
Condi๎šฑons for safe storage, including any incompa๎šฑbili๎šฑes
Store only in the original container. Store the containers sealed, in a well-ven๎šบlated place, away from direct sunlight. Keep containers away from any
incompa๎šบble materials, see sec๎šบon 10 for details.
SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION
Exposure controls
As the use of adequate technical equipment must always take priority over personal protec๎šบve equipment, make sure that the workplace is well aired
through e๎™”ec๎šบve local aspira๎šบon. Personal protec๎šบve equipment must comply with current regula๎šบons.

ECODECALK
Descaler for coffee machines
Protect hands with category III work gloves (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138).
The following should be considered when choosing work glove material: compa๎šพbility, degrada๎šพon, failure ๎šพme and permeability.
The work gloves' resistance to chemical agents should be checked before use, as it can be unpredictable. The gloves' wear ๎šพme depends on the dura๎šพon and
type of use.
SKIN PROTECTION
Wear category II professional long-sleeved overalls and safety footwear. Wash body with soap and water a๎™ธer removing protec๎šพve clothing.
EYE PROTECTION
Wear air๎šพght protec๎šพve goggles (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.133).
Provide an eye wash system and emergency shower
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
If the threshold value (e.g. TLV-TWA) is exceeded for the substance or one of the substances present in the product, wear a mask with a NIOSH cer๎šพ๎™šed ๎™šlter,
whose class must be chosen according to the limit of use concentra๎šพon (NIOSH 42 CFR 84, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134). In the presence of gases or vapours of
various kinds and/or gases or vapours containing par๎šพculate (aerosol sprays, fumes, mists, etc.) combined ๎™šlters are required.
Respiratory protec๎šพon devices must be used if the technical measures adopted are not suitable for restric๎šพng the worker's exposure to the threshold values
considered. The protec๎šพon provided by masks is in any case limited.
If the substance considered is odourless or its olfactory threshold is higher than the corresponding TLV-TWA and in the case of an emergency, wear open-
circuit compressed air breathing apparatus or external air-intake breathing apparatus. For a correct choice of respiratory protec๎šพon device, see standard
NIOSH 42 CFR 84, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.
