LIMITED WARRANTY
HAWS warrants that all of its products are guaranteed against defective material or poor workmanship for
a period of . The foregoing notwithstanding, warrants certain one year from the date of shipment HAWS
specic products or components thereof for an adjusted period. A list of these excepted products and
components and a description of their respective warranty terms may be found here:

not be liable for the cost of repairs, alterations or replacements, or the labor required to implement them,
or for any expense connected therewith made by the owner or owner’s agents, except upon written
authority fro shall not be liable for any damages caused by defective materials or poor m HAWS. HAWS
workmanship, except for replacements, as provided above. Buyer agrees that has made no other HAWS
warranties either express or implied in addition to those above stated, except that of title with respect to
any of the products or equipment sold hereunder and that shall not be liable for general, special, HAWS
incidental, or consequential damages claimed to arise under the contract of sale.
Equipment manufactured by HAWS is warranted to function if installation and maintenance instructions
provided are adhered to. The units also must be used for the purpose for which they were intended. Any
HAWS emergency equipment is intended to supplement rst-aid treatment. Due to widely varying
conditions, HAWS cannot guarantee that the use of this emergency equipment will prevent serious injury
or the aggravation of existing or prior injuries.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED HEREIN, HAWS HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES,
WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARISING BY LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT
LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THIS WARRANTY MAY NOT BE MODIFIED OR EXTENDED WITHOUT THE
WRITTEN CONSENT OF HAWS. REMEDIES AND REPLACEMENTS STATED HEREIN ARE
EXCLUSIVE. IN NO EVENT SHALL HAWS BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, PUNITIVE,
CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES TO ANY PERSON INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE OR PROFITS, SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS OR COSTS, PROPERTY
DAMAGE, OR OTHER MONETARY LOSS.

LOCATION OF UNIT: The Model 8330 Stainless Steel combination Shower
Eye/Face Wash should be installed in close proximity to potential accident areas. It
should be clearly identied, free from obstructions and easy to access.
SUPPLY LINE: The minimum recommended line size is 1- -90 psi (2-1/4” IPS with 30
6 ATM) owing pressure. Where sediment or mineral content is a problem, an inlet
lter is recommen ded.
PLUMBING CONNECTIONS: Inlet supply is female 1-1/4” IPS. Waste outlet is
female 1- 1/4” IPS.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Refer to Installation Drawing for clarication. Check parts list to insure all required parts
are included. Use pipe joint sealant PST #567 (Loctite) on all connections.
STEP 1: Prepare the emergency shower foundation by using the oor ange as a
template. Locate the three holes for the 3/8-16 UNC x 6” anchor bolts.
(Not supplied). They should extend 1” above the floor level.
STEP 2: Once the concrete foundation is ready (dry), assemble the oor ange to
the anchor bolts; then securely fasten with 3/8-16 UNC Hex nuts and 3/8”
washers (Not supplied). Seal and tighten oor ange and (1-1/4”) tee
making certain the waste tee is cing the proper location and the foot fa
control holes are facing side to side.
STEP 3: Assemble nipple (1- 1/4” x 24”) to the tee and tighten with a pipe wrench.
STEP 4: Assemble the eye/face wash loop assembly to the (24”) nipple from Step
three. Connec he pipe wrench to the nipple between the two tees to t t
avoid damage.
STEP 5: Assemble in the following order:
-Attach nipple (1 1/4” x 24”) onto the loop assembly.
Attach nipple - (1 1/4” x 24”) onto the tee.
Attach tee - - . (1 1/4” x 1 1/4” x 1”) onto nipple
onto tee. Attach nipple (1” x 8”) and valve assembly
Attach street el - bow (1”) and nipple (1” x 12 1/2”) onto valve.
STEP 6: Assemble showerhead onto street el If necessary, use Dow bow (1”).
Corning 832 sealant placing 5 small beads on the male threads ust , j
above the rst thread.
STEP 7: Assemble the sign onto the unit. Use the strap, screws, washers and nuts
provided to mount the sign onto the upright. The sign should be positioned
for maximum visibility.
STEP 8: Insert the plug into the optional supply line tee that is not used. Before
connecting the supply water line to the emergency shower; FLUSH THE
LINE THOROUGHLY.
