In order to achieve maximum performance and reliability you should study these instructions for use carefully.
Warning of a hazard for the user, the unit or possible misuse
Important notice
Safety instructions
AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Before connecting to the mains, make sure that the
voltage in your area meets the voltage requirements printed on the power supply.
The power supply is used to disconnect the unit from the mains. Make sure that the power supply connect/
is easily accessible at all times. Never handle the device, the power supply while your hands are wet or
damp.
Avoid letting liquids enter the device or the power supply. Never place any item containing
liquid, such as a flower vase on or near the device. Never spill any liquid on the device or the power
supply. Never place any naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on or near the device. The product
shall not be used in damp or wet locations, next to a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or any other similar
conditions.

connecting the power supply to the mains. Amp Box RS2 can be switched on and off by using 3 different
methods which are equal in priorities.

1. Using front switch to turn the unit on or into standby
The switch on the left-hand side of the front panel turns the unit on or back into standby. The blue LED above the
stand-by switch shows that the unit is switched on.
After switching on, the tubes need a short time to reach the correct operating temperature. During warm
up the blue LED above the stand- by switch is blinking.
We recommend to set the pre amplifies volume control to 0, prior to switching on.
2. Remote power on - triggers
Amp Box RS2 can be switched on via other Box Design components when a 12V trigger voltage is present at
the 2.5mm socket

nput.nput. - Special power on cables (polarity ) in diverse lengths are
available as accessories. Amp BoxWhen the 12V trigger signal is switched off, RS2 will also switch off.
RS232 on/off or front panel button on/off can override trigger commands.
Trigger cables may only be plugged into the sockets when the amplifier is disconnected from the power
supply and from the mains. Failure to do so may result in damage of the unit.
3. RS232
RS232 is a widely used control protocol used in custom integration to remotely control and integrate devices
into a larger system. Home theatre, public address systems, lobby background music, hotels, ….

Connection to the speakers
The output terminals accept loudspeaker cables terminated with 4mm ∅ Banana plugs, spades connectors or
naked wire.
