INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Pro-Ject BT Box E HD

Dear music lover,

thank you for purchasing a P -Ject Audio Systems Box E ro BT HD.

In order to achieve maximum performance and reliability you should study these instructions

for use carefully.

Warning of a hazard for the user, the unit or possible misuse.

Important notice.

Safety instructions

AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Before connecting to the mains, make

sure that the voltage in your area meets the voltage requirements printed on the power

supply.

The power supply is used to disconnect the unit from the mains. Make sure that the power

supply is easily accessible at all times. Never handle the device, the power supply while

your hands are wet or damp.

Avoid letting liquids enter the device or the power supply. Never place any item

containing liquid, such as a flower vase on or near the device. Never spill any liquid on

the device or the power supply. Never place any naked flame sources, such as lighted

candles on or near the device. The product shall not be used in damp or wet locations, next

to a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or any other similar conditions.

Connectors

Make all connections whilst the product is disconnected from the power supply.

Take care to connect the left and right channels correctly. The right channel is usually

marked red, the left channel black or white.

Never use any other power supply than the one supplied with the unit.

Never connect or disconnect power supply to or from the unit whilst the power supply

is connected to the mains.

Connection to the amplifier

Connect the socket to a line input (such as ) on your amplifier. Alternatively you Line Out AUX

can use also digital to connect the unit to a D/A converter or to digital input of Optical Out a

your amplifier or AVR. Both outputs are active all the time.

Mains power connection

Connect the low voltage plug from the power supply to the socket before Power DC 18V

connecting the power supply to the mains.

BT pairing

Pairing with devices with Android OS

Open and tap on Turn on and tap on Searched devices will show Settings Bluetooth. BT Scan.

up. Tap on (Confirm pairing code if requested). Once paired it will show "BT Box E HD"

"Connected to media Audio", now you can play music from your Android device over to BT BT

Box E.

Pairing with Apple devices

Tap on tap on , turn it on, your device will automatically start searching for Settings, Bluetooth

available devices. Tap on " " and it will be connected to the Box E . Now you can BT Box E BT HD

play music.

It´s possible to use BT Box E HD also with other than above mentioned devices, pairing

procedure is always similar.

Reconnecting

If you move out of range or turn off Bluetooth BT Box E HD will disconnect from your device. To ,

reconnect simply open the Bluetooth manager and tap on "BT Box E ". If the signal is lost for HD

only a few seconds it can reconnect automatically - typically if you move out of the range and

then return back.

Adding a new phone or tablet

The unit can play music from one device at a time. If you want to switch from one device to

another, you have to disconnect existing connection to BT Box E HD and then follow the steps

for pairing with new device.

Troubleshooting

No music from speakers:

- make sure the BT Box E HD is powered

- make sure an audio cable or an optical cable is correctly connected to Box E BT HD

- make sure you are within the range

- make sure the Bleutooth is enabled and the device is connected to Box E. Volume level is BT

properly set
