1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Beforeinstallationoruse,besuretocarefullyread
all the instructions in this section for correct and
safeoperation.
• Besuretofollowalltheprecautionaryinstructions
in this section, which contain important warnings
and/orcautionsregardingsafety.
• After reading, keep this manual handy for future
reference.
• Donotuseothermethodsthanspeciedtomount
theadapter.Extremeforceisappliedtotheadapter
andthematchingtransformercouldfalloff,possibly
resultinginpersonalinjuries.
• Tighten each nut and bolt securely. Ensure that
the adapter has no loose joints after installation
to prevent accidents that could result in personal
injury.
• Use the specied matching transformer in
combination. Doing otherwise may cause the
adapterormatchingtransformertofalloff,resulting
inpersonalinjury.
• Avoidinstallingthespeakerinlocationsclosetothe
seashore or in indoorswimming facilities that are
not well ventilated. In such locations, the adapter
maybevulnerabletocorrosion,eventuallyallowing
thematchingtransformertofallresultinginpersonal
injury.
Indicatesapotentiallyhazardoussituationwhich,
ifmishandled,couldresultinmoderateorminor
personalinjury,and/orpropertydamage.
CAUTION
• Avoidtouching the adapter’s sharp metal edgeto
preventinjury.
• Havetheadaptercheckedperiodicallybytheshop
from where it was purchased. Failure to do so
mayresult in corrosion or damageto the adapter
that could cause the matching transformer to fall,
possiblycausingpersonalinjury.
2. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The HY-MT7 Matching Transformer Adapter is
designed to mount an optional MT-200 Matching
Transformer*totheHX-7SeriesSpeakerSystem.
* The Matching Transformer is used to convert low
impedancetohighimpedance(100Vor70Vline).
Refer to the MT-200’s Operating Instructions for
moredetails.
3. MT-200 MOUNTING ExAMPLE
Note
When joiningtwospeakersystems, aseparateMT-
200 Matching Transformer must be attached to the
secondspeakersystemaswell.Themountingmethod
isthesameasthatfortheinitialspeakersystem.

Step 2. Changetheprimaryconnectiontap.
ThetapoftheMT-200isfactory-presetto167Ω.
Changethesettingasrequired.
To change the tap, reconnect the primary black cord
accordingtothetablebelow.

4. MOUNTING ThE MT-200 MATChING TRANSFORMER
BeforemountingtheMT-200,layoutaprotectivesheet,corrugatedcardboardorothersoftmaterialonaat
surface,andperformallworkonthespeakerwithitsfrontbafefacingdownward.

Each HX-7 Series Speaker System
consists of four speaker modules.
Tightentheboltssecurely,asinstructedbelow.
Failuretofollowinstructionspreciselycouldresultinafallingspeaker
andpotentialpersonalinjury.
• Ensurethatallboltsaresecurelyinsertedasfarastheirthreadsgo,
thensecurelyfasteneachboltwithanut.
• Tighten all the bolts with the designated tightening torque. For
tightening,useaPhillipsscrewdriver,oropen-orbox-endwrench.
