HazardsofImproperUse:



Vestilstrivestoidentifyeveryforeseeablehazardsassociatedwiththeuseofitsproducts.However,material

handlingisinherentlydangerousandnomanualcanaddresseveryconceivablerisk.Ultimately,themosteffective

meansforpreventingaccidentsisfortheend‐usertoapplygoodjudgmentandforesightwheneverusingthis

product.



Ifthisproductisusedimproperlyorcarelessly,theuserand/orbystandersmightsustainserious

personalinjuries.Toreducethelikelihoodofinjury:

 Readandunderstandtheentiremanualbeforeassembling,usingormaintainingthecart.

 DO NOT modify this cart in any way UNLESS you first obtain written approval from Vestil. Unapproved

modificationsautomaticallyvoidtheLimitedWarranty(p.9)andmightmakethecartunsafetouse.

 DONOTattempttocarryortransportloadsthatexceedthecapacityofthecart.Capacityinformationappears

inthe“Specifications”tableonp.#aswellasonlabel287(see“LabelingDiagram”onp.8.)

 ALWAYSsecuredrumstothecartwiththe(yellow)drumlock.

 DONOTstand,sit,orrideonthecart.Onlyusethiscarttomovedrums.

 Alwayswatchthedrumcarefullywhilethecartis moving.Ifnecessary,securethedrumtothecart,e.g.with

ratchetstraps.

 Do not attempt to go up ordown slopedterrain witha loaded cart. Only use thecart on even, levelground

whenitisloaded.Whenunloaded,alwayscontrolthecartfromtheuphillsidewhilemovingupordownslopes.

 Carefullyrotatethecarttosetthedrumontheground.Ifyoucannotcomfortablyliftthedrumandcontrolthe

cartasitrotates,asksomeonetoassistyou.

 Routinelyinspectthecartaccordingtotheinstructionsin“InspectionsandMaintenance”(p.8).



 Proper use, maintenance, and storageare essential to keepthis cart in normalcondition for as

longaspossible.Applytheinspectionandmaintenanceproceduresprovidedonp.8.

o Regularlycheckallfasteners.Tightenloosenuts.Lubricaterollers,wheels,andcasterswhenevernecessary.

o Inspectthehandle,handlereceiver,andretaininghardwareforcracks,bends,etc.

o Examinetheframe.Checkallweldsandframemembersforcracksandseverecorrosion/rusting.

o Cleanthecartperiodically.

o Removerustwithasteelbristlebrush,cleantheaffectedarea,andcoveritwithtouchuppaint.

o Storethecartinadrylocation.
