2 Safety
2.1 Safety instructions
– Do not connect or disconnect plug connector when powered.
– Only mount the product on components that are in a condition to be safely
operated.
2.2 Intended Use
Socket SUB-D for multi-pin plug connection, can be freely assembled.
2.3 Training of qualified personnel
Work on the product may only be carried out by qualified personnel who can eval-
uate the work and detect dangers. The qualified personnel are trained in electrical
engineering.

1. Disconnect cable fitting .1
2. Guide cable through the cable fitting and the cover .6 1 4
3. Strip cable approx.40mm.
4. Strip insulation from wires approx.3mm.
5. Crimp spring loaded contacts to wires.5
The contact holder can be mounted in two different positions. The cable outlet dir-
ection of the mounted socket depends on the orientation of the contact holder.

8. Pull the cable back so that a piece of cable sheath remains within the cov-6
