Setting up
The MDU- is a miniature desktop microph with back-electret capsule40 one ,
designed to provide a more direct and higher quality input for voice
recording or streaming via a ptop or desktop computer. la
The MDU-40 has a cylindrical metal body and dome grille and is supplied
with a custom desktop stand that fixes to the bottom of the microphone
body The M -40 has a USB type-C socket at the rear and is supplied with . DU
a type-C to type-A lead for connection to USB port on a Mac or Windows a
computer. This provid power to the microphone and delivers the s es ound
picked up by the capsule a digital audio signal to the computer. as
The computer will recognise the MDU- USB PnP Sound Device40 as a “ ” in
the sound or audio settings.
Operation
Selecting the MDU- (40 “USB PnP Sound Device as the input device within the recording or streaming ”)
software will set the microphone as the input source. An illuminated button on the top of the body will
mute the microphone as required.
The MDU- can be disconnected and re-connected to USB as a hot-swappable device. 40
Disconnect from USB after use to preserve the computer battery or power supply.
