SILVA TRAIL SPEED X AND INTELLIGENT LIGHT

Thank you for choosing a Silva Trail Speed X headlamp. This ultra-

compact high power headlamp is designed for athletes who put

performance and weight first.

The Trail Speed X headlamp is equipped with Intelligent Light

which is a light distribution technology that combines a wide angle

flood light with a long reach spot light. This unique light image gives

the user peripheral and long distance vision at the same time. For

a runner, cross country skier, mountain biker or night orienteer

this translates into less head movement, increased control, better

balance and more speed.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Trail Speed X headlamp consists of the following parts:

• Headlamp unit

• Ergonomic headset

• Helmet bracket

• Bike handlebar bracket

• Rechargeable Li-Po battery in rubber case and battery soft case

• USB cable for charging

BEFORE USE

BATTERY CHARGING

The battery needs to be charged before first use.

1. Disconnect headlamp from Battery

2. Open the rubber lid on the battery pack side and insert the micro

USB connector on charge cable.

3. Insert the USB connector in a USB-port

4. On the battery there is an LED showing the battery status during

charging:

• red light = battery is charging

• green light = battery is fully charged

Battery charging time is approximately 4hrs hours.

Note! When the battery is fully charged the battery automatically

switches off charging. However, never leave the battery connected

to a USB-port unattended for longer periods.

HEADSET

The elastic headset is designed to give a comfortable fit at speed ac-

tivities such as running, XC skiing etc. Adjust the headset by moving

the sliding buckle to fit it onto your head.

To remove, press the push button on the bracket and move the

bike light up and out.

BIKE HANDLEBAR ATTACHMENT

The bike handlebar attachment is designed for use on bike hand-

lebars with a dimension between 25 and 32 mm. Simply mount the

attachment by wrapping the rubber strap around the handlebar and

fasten it on the plastic hook.

Attach the bike light in the bike handlebar attachment by sliding

the bike light bracket into the snap-in socket.

To remove, press the push button on the bracket and move the

bike light up and out.

HELMET ATTACHMENT

The helmet attachment comes with a pre-mounted adhesive for

easy mounting on any helmet. It is designed to not affect the protec-

tive characteristics of the helmet.

To mount the helmet attachment, make sure the surface of the

helmet is clean and dry. Remove the protective film covering the

adhesive and press the bracket onto its correct position.

If you do not want to use the adhesive on your helmet the attach-

ment is prepared for mounting with 2 cable ties on the sides. (Not

included)

Attach the bike light in the helmet attachment by simply sliding the

bike light bracket into the snap-in socket.

To remove, press the push button on the socket and move the bike

light up and out.

DURING USE

SWITCH ON YOUR HEADLAMP

On the side of the headlamp body there is a push button which

controls all light modes.

Each press on the button gives you the following light:

5. Turns the headlamp ON with all LEDs in maximum power.

6. Both LEDs in min mode

7. Flood light LED in min mode

8. Starts over from 1

To turn OFF the headlamp; press and hold the button for 1 second.

The flash function, which is used to attract attention, is started from

OFF mode by pressing and holding the button for 1 second. To turn

OFF; press and hold the button for 1 second.

TEMP CONTROL

Note that the headlamp body temperature will increase during use.

The headlamp temperature is depending on light mode, ambient air

temperature and the airflow (speed). The Trail Speed X headlamp

is equipped with a temperature control that prevents the headlamp

body from overheating by reducing the power to the LEDs.

BATTERY INDICATION

During operation of the headlamp there will be a low battery war-

ning when 20% of the battery time remains. This is done by flashing

both LEDs for 1 second and repeated again after 5 seconds.

AFTER USE

MAINTENANCE

To make sure you get maximum performance from your Trail Speed

X headlamp, clean it regularly with a damp cloth.

Headset cleaning – rince in warm water.

ABOUT LI-ION (LI-PO) BATTERIES

The battery should be stored in a dry environment within the tempe-

rature range of -20°C and +35°C.

If you would like to store your battery for a longer period (more than

30 days) the battery should not be fully charged. This may cause loss

of its characteristics.

Li-Ion batteries have a discharge rate of approx. 20% over a 30 day

period. You can always charge a half full battery without damaging

its characteristics.

Do not expose the battery for extreme temperatures which may

cause fire or explosion.

Do not disassemble or mistreat the battery, risk for chemical burn.

Keep away from children.

Do not dispose of batteries in fire. This may cause an explosion.

Do not submerge the batteries in water.

Do not short circuit the contacts.

Replace only with Silva Trail Speed X batteries.

Note! Always make sure to disconnect the battery when the head-

lamp is not used.

in the regular trash. Dispose these items in accordance with appli-

cable local regulations.

Silva warrants that, for a period of two (2) years, your Silva Product

will be substantially free of defects in materials and workmanship

under normal use. Silva’s liability under this warranty is limited to

repairing or replacing the product. This limited warranty extends

only to the original purchaser.

If the Product proves defective during the Warranty Period please

contact the original place of purchase. Make sure to have your proof

of purchase on hand when returning the product. Returns cannot

be processed without the original proof of purchase. This warranty

does not apply if the Product has been altered, not been installed,

operated, repaired, or maintained in accordance with instructions

supplied by Silva, or has been subjected to abnormal physical or

electrical stress, misuse, negligence or accident. Neither does the

warranty cover normal wear and tear. Silva is not responsible for any

consequences, direct or indirect, or damage resultant from use of

this product. In no event will Silva’s liability exceed the amount paid

by you for the product. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion

or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above

limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This Warranty is valid

SILVA TRAIL SPEED X OCH INTELLIGENT LIGHT

Tack för att du valt pannlampan Silva Trail Speed X. Denna ultrakom-

pakta pannlampa med hög effekt är utvecklad för idrottare som

värderar prestanda och vikt högst.

Pannlampan Trail Speed X är utrustad med Intelligent Light

som

är en ljusspridningsteknologi som kombinerar vidvinkelflodljus

med en strålkastare med lång räckvidd. Denna unika ljusbild ger

användaren ett synfält som är både brett och långt på samma gång.

För en löpare, skidåkare, mountainbikecyklist eller nattorienterare

innebär detta mindre huvudrörelser, ökad kontroll, bättre balans

och högre hastighet.

INNAN ANVÄNDNING

BATTERILADDNING

Batteriet behöver laddas innan det används för första gången.

1. Koppla bort pannlampan från batteriet

2. Öppna gummilocket på batteripaketets sida och för in mikro-

USB-kontakten på laddarsladden.

3. Sätt i USB-kontakten i en USB-port

4. På batteriet finns en lysdiod som visar batteriets status under

laddningen:

• rött ljus = batteriet laddas

• grönt ljus = batteriet är fulladdat

Batteriets laddningstid är ungefär 4 timmar.

Obs! När batteriet är fulladdat slutar det automatiskt att ladda. Trots

detta ska du aldrig lämna ett batteri som är anslutet till en USB-port

obevakat under längre perioder.

HEADSET

Det elastiska huvudbandet är utformat för bekväm passform vid

snabba aktiviteter så som löpning, längdskidåkning och liknande.

Justera huvudbandet genom att flytta det skjutbara spännet och

anpassa det till ditt huvud.

För att ta av lampan trycker du på knappen på hållaren, lyfter upp

och ut lampan.

CYKELFÄSTE

Cykelfästet har utformats för montering på cykelstyren med en

tjocklek mellan 25 och 32 mm. Sätt på fästet genom att vira gum-

miremmen runt styret och fäst det på plastkroken.

Fäst cykellampan på cykelstyrets fäste genom att enkelt snäppa

fast lampans fot i hållaren.

För att ta av lampan trycker du på knappen på hållaren, lyfter upp

och ut lampan.

HJÄLMFÄSTE

Hjälmfästet levereras med en fästdyna på baksidan för enkel

montering. Fästet är utformat så att det inte påverkar hjälmens

skyddande egenskaper.

För att montera hjälmfästet, se till att hjälmen är ren och torr.

Ta bort skyddsfilmen som täcker limytan och tryck fast fästet på

rätt plats. Om du inte vill använda fästdynan på hjälmen kan fästet

monteras med två remmar på sidorna. (Medföljer ej)

Fäst lampan på hjälmfästet genom att enkelt snäppa fast lampans

fot i hållaren.

För att ta av lampan trycker du på knappen på hållaren, lyfter upp

och ut lampan.

VID ANVÄNDNING

TÄND PANNLAMPAN

På sidan av lampkroppen finns en knapp som kontrollerar alla

ljuslägen.

Varje tryck på knappen ger dig följande ljus:

Sätter PÅ pannlampan med alla lysdioder i maximal effekt.

Båda lysdioderna i min-läge.

Flodljusdiod i min-läge.

Börjar om från 1.

För att släcka pannlampan håll in knappen i 1 sekund.

Blinkfunktionen, som är till för att dra till sig uppmärksamhet,

startas från OFF-läget genom att hålla in knappen i 1 sekund. För

att stänga av håll in knappen i 1 sekund.

TEMPERATURKONTROLL

Notera att lamphöljets temperatur ökar under användning. Pann-

lampans temperatur beror på ljusläget, omgivningens lufttem-

peratur och luftflödet (hastigheten). Pannlampan Trail Speed X är

försedd med en temperaturkontroll som förhindrar att lamphöljet

överhettas genom att effekten till lysdioderna minskas.

BATTERIINDIKERING

När pannlampan används kommer en varning om låg batterinivå när

20 % av batteritiden återstår. Detta görs genom att båda lysdioderna

blinkar i en sekund och upprepas igen efter fem sekunder.

EFTER ANVÄNDNING

UNDERHÅLL

För att få ut maximal prestanda från pannlampan Trail Speed X,

rengör den regelbundet med en fuktig trasa.

Rengöring av huvudenheten – skölj i varmt vatten.

OM LITIUMJONBATTERIER (LI-PO)

Batteriet ska förvaras i en torr miljö inom temperaturområdet

-20°C och +35°C.

Om batteriet ska förvaras en längre tid (mer än 30 dagar) bör det

inte vara fulladdat. Det kan orsaka att dess egenskaper försämras.

Litiumjonbatterier laddas ur med ungefär 20 % under en 30-dagars-

period. Du kan alltid ladda ett halvfullt batteri utan att skada dess

egenskaper.

Utsätt inte batteriet för extrema temperaturer, det kan leda till

brand eller explosion.

Hantera batteriet försiktigt och ta inte isär det, det finns risk för

frätskador.

Håll batteriet borta från barn.

Utsätt inte batterier för eld. Det kan orsaka en explosion.

Doppa inte ned batterier i vatten.

Kortslut inte kontakterna.

Byt endast ut mot Silva Trail Speed X-batterier.

Obs! Se till att alltid koppla bort batteriet när pannlampan inte

används.

inköpsstället. Se till att p3-ha ett inköpsbevis till hands när du returne-

rar produkten. Returärenden kan inte behandlas utan originalkö-

pehandling. Denna garanti gäller inte om produkten har förändrats,
